The Esposione Universale di Roma (Universal Exhibition of Rome) was built in the early 1940s in fascist architectural style to celebrate the 20th anniversary of fascism. It was designated to host the International Exhibition of 1942, but because of the war this exhibition did not take place. Today it is a residential and business district in the south of the city of Rome.
